The body is a politic
I am fluid in nature. Cannot be placed
where I once belonged.
So don’t essentialize
the gender placed upon me. The elements
of success ascribed to my skin.
Don’t fixate the myth
that was placed on my body.
Don’t reproduce
the politics on me
I cannot be understood
solely
through the ways in which I appear
As our world is merely a construct,
It is in the relational that
I remain
