Started as an editor for Raffia in 2015 and is the editor-in-chief since 2016. Studied Cultural Anthropology and Development Studies at Radboud University, with a focus on gender and sexuality. 

Nanette M. Ashby (she/her)
Head of External Affairs

Arts and Culture Bachelor student at Radboud University with a Minor in Gender and Diversity. Trained in inclusive sex education and interested in women’s rights advocacy and feminist pornography.

Carmen Levels (she/her)
Head of External Affairs

Master’s student at Radboud University for Nederland-Duitsland-studies and Anthropology and Development Studies. Has a Bachelor’s degree in German language and Culture from Utrecht University.

Femke Boom (she/they)
Head Editor / Chair

Joined Raffia as an editor in October 2018, and is head editor since 2020. She has a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Culture, with a focus on letters. Interested in LGBT+ and gender representation in books.

Ricardo Reitsma (he/they)
Secretary / Communication

Currently in the final year of the bachelor English Language and Culture studies. Interested in the topics of sexuality, feminism, literature, games, and pop culture

Jansje Kamerling (she/her)
Creative Director

Master’s student Anthropology and Development Studies at Radboud University with a focus on feminism and whiteness. Has a bachelor’s degree in International Media Management.
